I have recently purchased a laptop, with Windows 8. I have already checked that Sims 3 can run on my laptop but here is the link to this laptop anyways; http://h20386.www2.hp.com/AustraliaStore/Product.aspx?pdetail=P328720
I have installed Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets, with no problems at all. I launched the game and everything was going as usual. As soon as I got to the town that's when the problem was. Everything was black except the lots, which was white. I tried putting Sims 3 into the DEP and I tried setting the graphics to as low and as high, putting it in compatibility mode, but nothing worked.
I decided to make a house hold to see if it was the same with everything else. When I started to create a person everything was fine, I clicked on the house ( Even though I could not see what house I was choosing until I clicked onto it). When I was at my lot I could see everything as per usual. It was only when I zoomed out to view everything is when it went black again.
Please help me find the solution!?

The Sims 3 Pets Free Download for PC is the fifth expansion pack for The Sims 3 on PC and Mac, and is the second console game in the series. It was released on October 18, 2011 in North America. On June 3, 2011, EA confirmed the rumors with a press release and a game trailer which was released on their Official YouTube Channel. The Sims 3: Pets expansion pack is focused around adding animals to the game. The player creates their pet in a similar fashion to the 'Create A Sim' feature.
